Well forecast that there would be up to 100mm on Dartmoor.

Postbridge is showing 90 mm atm.

Now that is some orographic enhancement. Only 25 mm here on the coast.

Flooding in east & N Cornwall, especially near Bude.

Less rain here in the far southwest. 19.0mm in Penzance in the 24 hours to 09:00, which covers basically the whole event. Rather more up at Camborne, less on Scilly.

Impressive orographic enhancement over Devon (and South Wales) but the weakening of the front as it moved east was also conspicuous, as often. Around just 1mm in these parts. Probably more, though, from the now rather heavy showers in its wake. Radar is not quite able to resolve the localised and brief bursts of hvy rain.
