The air looked very unstable mid morning. Plenty of showers over the sea off Lands End, and a line of very heavy showers formed in a line along the south coast from the Lizard eastwards. It stayed dry here in Penzance, but a good view of some Cb.
On the tip of Cornwall the early afternoon saw some good spells of sunshine with only small / medium Cu with little in the way of vertical extent. The temperature briefly popped up to 18.4C. The wind a gentle F2-3 offshore WNW at the time, and quite pleasant for a swim.
It has turned breezier at the moment, some small showers nearby. The temperature dropped back to 16.8C around 15:30, but is now starting to rise again.
Very big sea again yesterday, it has dropped back a lot now.
Since 14:00 a persistent convergence line to the east of Helston, giving a lot of rain in a narrow band.
