5th April.  Heavy snow early then the thaw.

Bit different at this end of the UK. Good sunny spells with patchy cloud and a maximum temperature of 13.9C. Just 1 light, brief, drizzly shower.

Sennen at 15:20, facing into the wind, but still OK on the beach. It felt quite warm down in east facing Mousehole this afternoon.

Not looking so good for tomorrow.

15:20 should read 17:20.

Poor forecast the last 2 days. There was supposed to be a dark cloud at the time of the above photo.

This morning dark cloud & 2 raindrops for 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 & 13:00 with probability 80 or 90%. A quick look at the radar suggested otherwise, the early rain had cleared, & Wales was the place not to be. Nothing measurable here since 09:00 (now noon), just the odd spot, with sunny intervals. Had coffee sitting outside (in shelter from the wind).

St Ives harbour at noon, not great weather, but dry & much better than the persistent rain forecast.

These forecasts still need real life feedback. The rain radar shows no sign of anything more than a few spots for the next few hours.

Hefty showers throughout day here.
Total 8.6 mm, the most we've had in one day for 4 weeks. The last on 12 March when we had 6 mm.

Today we've had a showery morning, when the chance of rain was <5% (well 10% for noon). Only affecting the far tip of Cornwall admittedly, and we're so often out of step.

11.5mm of rain overnight, making the 09:00-0900 total the greatest since 23.0mm on 1st March. Another 2mm (approx) since.
