Surprisingly little I thought. Recent showers very light and fleeting.

It is very windy this morning, up to 55mph at Gwennap.

Some very rough sea conditions, no freight or passenger ship to Scilly today. Air full of salt spray, seriously affecting visibility.

Coastal gale this afternoon. Mean speed up to 40mph at St Mary's Airport, Scilly. Gust to 59mph and 10 minute mean speed of 39mph (2 min mean wind speed 41mph) at Gwennap.

All flights to Scilly cancelled, Scillomian III safely tucked up in Penzance harbour. 

So the sort of weather when the best thing is to go to the water's edge and take some photos. No lifeguards at Marazion now, so time to play in a gale.

Not quite as strong as the storm with no name, but easily the best blow since.
