The wind is now F8 on exposed parts of the south coast, it's been >60mph at Gwennap head with a 10 minute average wind speed of 41mph.
The rain has been heavy and horizontal, roads are awash after all the recent rain. There was over 25mm this month prior to this this event, with heavy rain/hail showers streaming off the sea on recent days.
However, the big event today is the sea state in Mount's Bay, the roughest of the extended autumn/winter. I know, I just got to the roundabout on the prom. Lucky the tides are small.
Looking towards the Mount through the heavy rain
As far as I can see, only really west Cornwall badly hit.
It's been so wet for so long, even Colliford reservoir is 90% full, everywhere else is under water.
