24 hours to 09:00 today the minimum was 5.7C last night, it reached 8.3C yesterday, and at 09:00 today it was 7.2C. Not particularly cold even by west Cornwall standards. (Currently 7C at Scilly and Lands End, 6C at Camborne).
The dangler was a damp squib this time. Only 2.2mm of rain/hail here. I have recorded >25mm in a dangler on a few occasions, and >40mm in 24 hours on one occasion. I think the wind tended a bit too much NNW-NW rather than due north between Pembroke & Cornwall, pushing it a bit to the east and disrupting it somewhat. It also means that we are are the 'warm' side (more Atlantic air) side of the precipitation. N-NNE is best for an intense dangler just catching the tip of Cornwall.
Anyway, nowhere near as bleak as I feared, and currently not bad at all. Prom 09:40
