A very brief heavy rain shower just after 1200z Tuesday, with a brief slight rain shower just after 2100z.  Thunder heard to the SE between 1300-1315z Tuesday.  Otherwise a dry day with variable amounts of well-developed convective cloud (including CB) and sunny periods - although precipitation was seen close by at times in the SE and NE quadrants.  Overnight there were clear periods.  Currently there is a trace of stratus generated by Caer Caradoc and altocumulus invading from the W.  Very good visibility, reduced temporarily in precipitation.  Surface wind W F2-3 veering NE 1500z, easing F1-2 after 1830z, then becoming SW-WSW F2-3 from 2030z, then S-SSW F1-2 from 2200z.  Minimum temperature so far is 7.5 (0424z).

A couple of slight rain showers since 0730z.  Cumulus building strongly with a trace of stratus present underneath.  Thin medium and high cloud above.  Very good visibility.  Surface wind SSW F2, but W F3 for a short time around 0820z.
