Looking for a new word (neologism)

Is there a word to describe some typical Scottish weather: cloudy, misty with drizzle at times but also occasional short bursts of bright sunshine?  

I understand the use of the word 'dreich' but that is not appropriate when there are often some bright, albeit short, spells.
