Cornwall - Still not June like

A photo from this morning on the cliff path between Cape Cornwall & Lands End sums it up. An area of path I could jog along 50 or 60 years ago, now I have to be very cautious in places.

Much less swell now, but still fairly rough in the WNW wind. I stayed dry, but that shower just missed me.

Beautiful stretch of coast. The access point I used is little known. Most have to walk around from Cape Cornwall or Sennen. It may not look far on a map, but it takes a while.

I love that part of the coastline. The granite far west. When we get down your way we like to do a walk from Gwenver to Portheras Cove and back via the 'moors'. The photo of Portheras Cove was taken during very different June weather a few years ago. Lovely snorkelling here when it is calm (not often).

Bit OT but granite does make stunning lanscapes. Penwith is the only bit of Cornwall that's really reminiscent of Scilly. Granite outcrops and pale sand with little glittery bits.

My favourite island on Scilly is probably St Agnes. Stunning landscape, and looking west, next stop America. 

Turning warmer & muggy in the last couple of hours. Still only 17.something, but feeling rather warm now the sun's breaking through. I think we're in the right part of the UK for weather over the weekend, sea fog permitting.
