74 mph reported from Mount Batten.
That's 64.3 knots.
Beaufort number 12 for speed above 64 knots. A hurricane.

Looking at various sites, it appears most coastal locations in Cornwall, exposed to the west, got above 70mph. Haven't found an 80mph yet.

Even away from the cliff tops it was gusting >70mph for >3 hours at Culdrose.  

1st decent blow for a very long time. Some superb surf at Chyandour Penzance where the winds offshore. Never seen so many surfing at that normally calm (except in a SE wind) spot.
