Very windy yesterday (17th) still blowy this morning. Gusts to 48mph near Lands End. Also unbroken sunshine yesterday, adding to the evaporation rate.

The sea offshore is clearly rough, but there is little real Atlantic swell, just a very locally generated low energy wind wave.

In SE facing Penzance, the sea is still lumpy enough to splash over the prom this morning.

NW facing Sennen it's flatter than it's been all summer.

No rain whatsover here today, though I noticed there was some lightning near Newquay earlier. 5.8mm of rain so far this month, of which 3.4mm fell on the 4th. Not quite what Cornwall's premier surfing beach, 1 mile from Lands End, should look like

The wind was forecast to slowly drecrease today, it's been very much the reverse though. Lands End, back close to yesterday mornings values.

Warm despite the F6 Easterly though, reached 22.8C around 13:00. Bit of cloud now, just thin & harmless.
