7th F4-5 easterly wind, but also a fair bit of sunshine and it was possible to get out of it fairly easily (the wind that is - I wasn't trying to avoid the sunshine). The temperature also exceeded forecasts by reach 12.5C (slight foehn effect with the wind down the peninsula?)
8th it remained cloudy, in fact dull. The temperature was >2C lower at 10.2C and the wind gusted to 38mph even in Penzance, up to 48mph near Lands End & 50mph at Gwennap.
So after aa perfectly reasonable day yesterday, yesterday was just plain bleak.
Much lighter winds this morning, sunshine & showers. Certainly an improvement, but probably not set to last.
