West Cornwall - Glorious prolonged sunshine, light winds - honest

After the rain cleared mid morning, the coast has seen prolonged sunshine. Sennen around 2pm

Just got back, watched the latest online forecast, and it said " the far SW may see a glimmer of sunshine late afternoon. Been largely sunny on west facing coasts since noon. Low cloud forms with a bit of uplift, visible in the top photo.

Beautiful clean bodyboarding wave in light winds. Wonderful change from so much anticyclonic gloom.

Car thermometer 17-18C on the coast, just 15C under the low cloud inland.

Yes, I am feeling smug!

Still seeing butterflies here (20th) in north Scotalnd.  One Small White today,  
Just going outside to check the Michaelmas Dasies for Red Admirals.  You don't have a monopoly of the fine weather Graham!

Rather different here today. Fairly windy (F5ish), showers & sunny intervals. The big difference is in the sea conditions. Rough with a large swell.
