Especially after today. 2-3C and a F7 easterly is not pleasant. Been gusting >50mph on the sea front all day, with the prom now impassable for the 1st time this winter. All the sandbags are in place (yet not even a flood alert) I was going to go along the prom for investigative journalistic reasons, but was forced to watch the sea crash over Newlyn Pier instead. So a webcam image will have to do.
Still snow along all the Cornish hedges above around 100m, mostly to the west of Penzance, where Tuesday's accumulations were greatest.
Mild air & much lighter winds just west of Scilly, so near & yet so far.
