Today:A cloudy morning with showery rain spreading northeastwards across the region, turning heavy at times into the afternoon. Some brighter spells developing in Devon and Cornwall by late afternoon, but becoming windier, particularly along coastal parts. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
After a wet & windy few hours, the clearance is arriving. Sennen 10:00, it was thick fog & horizontal rain/drizzle 30 minutes earlier. If it's late afternoon I've overslept!
Surprisingly little swell, just a wind wave where the wind's onshore , mainly on the south coast currently. The depressions are in completely the wrong place, something of a ridge mid Atlantic.
