We have had 2 heatwaves in Wembury

It annoys me when Met Office report 'We have had 4 heatwaves this summer'.

Where? Probably true of a large area of England but not everywhere.

Have they applied their magic interpolation technique so they could put there network of obs on the 1 km grid they use?

The 3 consecutive days above 25C only occureed twice here in Wembury, and

it was the 3rd warmest summer mean temp. (JJA) in my record back to 1986.

2022 and 2018 were warmer.
