Why do the UK Met Office do it?

UKMO is today trumpeting that you can now see output from there UKV 2km High Resolution model by looking at

For midday today they had Plymouth as 5°C.
It was actually 8°C.
It annoys me greatly when they think going to 2 km resolution will improve the forecast on that scale.
I would keep quiet about it if I was them.

That link Len.  I didn't think that Windy.com had anything directly to do with the Met Office.

Showed Camborne as 4C when it was 8C. It's now 4C in Penzance apparently.

In actual fact today was 0.2C warmer than yesterday, just back into double figures (10.0C) after yesterday's bitter maximum of 9.8C. Penzance is a relatively warm spot in a NW wind - when it's not too strong and the sun's out.
