Only 0.6mm rain measured by my Vantage Pro 2 since 28th March (0.5mm in 5" copper gauge). Missed all the showers yesterday, except for a few spots. Seriously dry ground. Waiting for the May monsoon (and our holiday) I presume!

For the same period I recorded 0.8mm in Molesey, Surrey.

0.6mm yesterday from the showers but the spots of frontal rain this afternoon are struggling to wet the Tarmac. Pathetic! The radar flatters reality with the low-level air so dry. If we get a heatwave in early May we will be in trouble with remaining soil moisture being used up.

Julian.

Yes, Julian, the same here in Bracknell. Looks promising on radar, but only a few spots reaching my garden!
