Wind warning for SW England.

Why is there a wind warning for the SW? Since late afternoon yesterdays, it's just been a bit breezy. Even the sea state is better (far less swell) than for a few days.

Both the sea state improved, and the wind decreased, just as the warning came into force at noon yesterday. The sea was coming over the prom big time yesterday morning's high tide, prior to the warning.

 Even at John Chappell's exposed site near Lands End the wind peaked at a F7. Nearer F5 in Penzance

Today it's been dull, damp and totally unexciting in any way.
