Not only the warm nights but we're having Med style humidity. Dewpoints yesterday reached 19.6°C and today already 20.8°C. yesterday reached a maximum of 27.7°C, warmest day of summer so far. Overnight low was 18.6°C but the warmest night this month was on the 21st with a minimum of 19.4°C.
With the Azores High ever present and ridging over the SW with those warm sectors moving round the top, the UV has been predictably very high since the 10th June. Reached 9.9 yesterday. I had a search across Europe but could only find two places with UV as high or slightly higher - Sagres, Portugal (10.0) and Larnaca, Cyprus (10.3).
A lot of the crowd sporting quite severe radiation burns at Glastonbury yesterday. The Met Office's usual useless maximum UV forecast for Glastonbury was its standard summer 'go to' of 6.
If this weather pattern continues into July, I wonder if I'll break my record UV of 10.
