Penzance Yet more rain, but at night again.

We are certainly having plenty of rain, but rather luckily it's been mainly at night. The last 6 days of August saw 58.4mm of rain, 90% of the months total. It's carried on since, but mainly when I'm asleep.

Today did not live up to the 'gale force gusts (whatever ever they might be) near the coast' forecast. In fact I was able to a have a swim, in the Jubille pool sea water pool admittedly, which I certainly didn't expect. At this time of year the temperature  in the pool is virtually identical to the SST off the prom. 17-18C at the moment - a bit closer to normal after the fairly extreme mixing there's been during all the recent wind.
