A little too close for comfort. It's only 300 metres away to the north - close enough to hear the flames crackling. Fortunately the wind is westerly.

There has been a much bigger fire a couple of ridges over above Ferndale.  I can see the smoke plume to the north east.  It is so big it can be seen on satellite imagery
