It does at the moment. I always felt it might turn into one of these tip of Cornwall extreme affairs, we really suffer in these NW blasts. There aren't many trees west of Penzance, looks like being a few less!
At least the severe weather should be short lived, it's looking really bad for the Channel Islands.
The recent exceptionally high tides caused some real issues on Scilly. The Scillonian had to bob around for 2 hours waiting for the tide to drop so it could dock, the pier was basically underwater.
