The surface wind was light and variable all day.
However, it increased steadily from a few thousand feet upward, being some 22 knots at 10,000 feet and 50 knots at 18,000 feet. The southerly direction was more-or-less constant with height. So, apart from the zero wind at the surface, the wind profile with height was classic for mountain waves,
They certainly look impressive.
My regular time-lapse camera, unfortunately, faces the wrong direction.
