I was trying to find out if the ancient Greeks and Romans had any great interest in weather. I came across this link

“Pompeii’s graffiti hasn’t been easy for most people to access. Even in the Internet age, a time when there’s a vague expectation that all of human knowledge has somehow coalesced online, the inscriptions haven’t been comprehensively digitized.”
It wasn’t as helpful as I might have hoped but it did draw attention to the prolific amount of (often crude) graffiti in Pompeii. Presumably, as today, ("Kilroy was Hear") it wasn't always the handiwork of the most literate or educated of Pompeii's citizen so might not meet the standards of a Virgil or an Ovid. With that in mind, this is my favourite weather graffiti.
