Good to know somebody reads my posts!
All OK up to 5th, then nothing really exciting on 6th / 7th, except spells of rain on the morning of the 6th following an overnight rain shower.
6th should read 8th.
As it happens, Cornwall used to be in a separate time zone, right up to the time of Brunel's Tamar bridge and the building of the line through Cornwall. It did make timetables complicated. In fact, increasing rail travel was one of the reasons for adopting GMT.
It was all downhill from then!
Better (depending on your point of view), if less interesting, weather on the way. Mind you, more than 6 or 7 days ahead is still very much a guessing game, so I can't see the point of the MetO long range forecast, it's almost always a description of the climate, rather than anything resembling a useful weather forecast. Currently
Conditions expected to remain broadly unsettled and changeable through this period with occasional spells of cold, wet and windy weather moving across from the Atlantic. Western and northwestern parts likely to see the wettest and windiest conditions overall whilst eastern and southeastern parts probably seeing the most of any drier spells. Temperatures likely to be slightly above average overall throughout, but there remains a possibility of short-lived colder spells. Colder spells likely to bring a risk of snow at times, though mostly over high ground in the north. Possibility that stronger systems will bring gales to western and northwestern areas throughout this period.
The normal use of possibility, which is a great letout clause for it being totally wrong.
Thundering yet again (16:00). That 'warm' sea has a lot to answer for.
