I checked my common-or-garden rain gauge and it showed around 31 mms for the day up to 1600 hours. At the next check being so full and 'spiked' in the very soggy ground, it had tipped over!
Further along the Moray Coast, Cullen had by 1700 hours recorded 57 mms
The rain event had been very accurately forecast for several days in advance so we had topped up supplies at the supermarket yesterday.
