Snow showers had been forecast but in westerly winds in this part opf Scotland, they often fizzle out before they reach here.

So I didn't really believe the forecast and set off in bright sun with T = 7.0C. It was soon down to 1.5C in an impressive snow shower.

The skies were spectacular and I couldn't help but reminisce that I used to work in that environment and on days off, play (in a glider).

I count myself very lucky.
