Hello everyone!
It's been a very long time indeed. I had been wondering what was going on with the previous newsgroup/Google group and found this after a lot of looking around.
It's been a relatively ok summer start this year, but higher-than-average temperature minima have been pushing average temperatures up. I produce some maps on my website daily nowadays, so I thought I'd give anyone who is interested a glimpse of what the last seven days have been like around the country. The yearly etesian winds (literally: annual winds) blowing in the Aegean have kept sea surface temperatures cool in comparison to anywhere else in the Mediterranean, though they also mean higher temperatures than average for parts of the lea side (west) of the country. High temperatures in central and eastern Europe also mean that their place of origin isn't as cool as we'd desire it, though.
I'd have a lot more to catch up on, but first let's say hello :-)
Here's to a less oppressing heatwave than the last one for you this week!
