Current MetO forecast for SW England
"Largely dry today with strong sunshine, turning hazy at times. Feeling hot and increasingly humid with light winds. A small chance of a few showers late in the afternoon. So I watched the video forecast, which still indicated the risk of rain /thunder this afternoon.
In practice, Thunderstorms visible on the radar moving quickly north since 06:00. We've just hard a sharp shower in Penzance, and the wind has really picked up. A flat sea already choppy.

Afternoon showers at 09:25 - Not much reachng the ground.
Still 22C at 09:00 though!

Inbetween the showery bursts and odd rumble of thunder it was lovely on the beach at Sennen this morning. Timed it well for 90 minutes of sunshine, left just in time as there was a rumble of thunder.
At least it's all kept the temperature down to a reasonable level in the low / mid 20s.
Different tomorrow I suspect
