Wet & cold weather

Hopefully the band of rain will edge away from the our part of northern Scotland during the day. 

We've just watched a rather wet and bedraggled Greater spotted woodpecker feeding its young from our peanut feeder.

A spell of wet and cold weather like we have at the moment - moderate rain and just 9°C - must kill a good many young birds at this time of year.
