Area of heavy rain now moving ENE across Lower Thames valley into the London area now. Unexpected thunder and lightning close to heaviest rain - just west of Weybridge, to my west. It may clear through but sufficient I would have thought to flood a few underpasses in urban areas. Just as I write this it appears to easing off a bit as it crosses London - typical!
