RMetS meeting this Wednesday - Data Rescue

This is rather short notice but if anyone would like a day out in London on Wednesday (if you are within reach), there are still spaces left for this meeting - on the recovery and preservation of long climatic records - from historic land-based records to ship's logs.  

Speakers include Stephen Burt on the Oxford record, Prof Ed Hawkins on his very successful Rainfall Rescue project and Mark McCarthy (Met Office, Climate Science Manager) on how the MO extended the national and regional rainfall records following Ed's project.  And more - including me Chairing.   

It is available via live-streaming but it would be great to see a few more in-person, as we seem to have public transport on Weds.  (I realise that attendance in-person from key members of this group in Scotland, Devon and Cornwall is asking rather a lot, but just in case some based nearby are interested).
