West Cornwall - Huge amounts of sand removed from beaches

Recent swells have proved particularly erosive, removing several feet of sand from across large beaches.

Taking Sennen as an example, both photos taken from the same vieepoint, today & 6th December. The numbers mark specific points. The photos don't really show how steep the path is to the beach, or how high those black rocks to the right now sticj above the sand - 5-6'  Around 5-10' (varies across the beach)has been stripped from the beach, largely in the last 4 or or 5 days. Not a big sea, but the wind directions & swell interactions have been important.

Never ceases to amaze me the way Councils' drive a bulldozer to the beach & move a few bucketloads for a photoshoot to convince the press they are in control.

The present beach level is exceptionally low.
