Had 20.8 mm in 24 hr to 1800 after a stormy night with line convection.
All hell broke loose at 0130 with big hail and thunder and lightning.

My Feb total is 71.5 mm so far.

Will it be a Feb record?
It will have to go some to beat
205.1 in 1990
202.2 in 2007
174.4 in 2014

All measurements in standard copper 5 inch gauge.

You were a long way behind today's wettest, as shown by Colin's lists, at Yeovilton - 47mm.   Maybe that was due to ovnt line convection on the front pepping up to reduce the orographic component in Somerset.  High totals in SE England too due to the midday troughy feature running east from Surrey to Kent. But East Anglia still has only fairly light rain, fairly low groundwater and hence low (or steady) riverflows. Very different this weekend on and south and west of The Thames.
