The showers in the aftermath of Wolfgang still remain loathed to cease.

Two particular potent showers over high ground this afternoon - one over south Wales and the other over Dartmoor (near Okehampton).

But this time the model used by the BBC wherever it came from did manage to pick them up.

On your 2nd image you can also see the line of Cu along the north Cornish coast associated with a weak sea breeze front, and the convergence along the spine of the Lizard, with the wind aligned along it's spine.. Unbroken sunshine here in Penzance, just very thin high cloud weakening the sun a little in the last couple of hours.

...and the 2nd image nicely shows up the 'textbook' sea breeze front stretching from east of Barnstaple to near Poole, possibly due to merging of the Br Ch and Eng Ch sbfs, or the Eng Ch  sbf and the gradient N flow?

The text book is Simpson's Sea Breeze and Local Winds.
