Mean temperature for 2022 here was 12.1°C which is joint warmest with 2014.

I think the reason 2022 didn't beat 2014 was the coolness of the nights which brought the mean temperature down somewhat. The dryness of the ground made for a plethora of unusually cool minimum temperatures throughout the summer.

Conversely my mean maximum temperature for 2022 was the highest in my record.

A cut'n'paste error has meant that 2022 did just beat 2014 with a mean temperature of 12.2°C  (mean min = 7.3°C & mean max = 17.0°C).

Mean temperature in Penzance was 12.7C, beating 2007 by 0.1C. 2014. 3rd came 2003 on 12.3C.

2014 is a bit down the list here, though several years are very close

 2003  - 12.4C

 2006 & 2002 - 12.3C

 2004,  2005 & 2020 - 12.2C

 2014, 1995, 1999 - 12.1C

Trends are less evident here than on Len's site, we had a run of warm years 2002-2007, then a run of cool years (excluding 2011). Then the north Atlantic 'cool pool' probably suppressed temperatures here for a few years.
