Bromfield, Shropshire - January 2026

A wet month with mean temperature around average.  Cold initially, with frost and occasional mainly slight snow.  Storm Goretti brought a more organised area of snow on the 8th/9th with 15 cm recorded during the early hours of the 9th.  Lying snow persisted until the 11th when a brief mild spell removed it.  The rest of January saw unsettled conditions with rain on all days except the 28th.  Daytime temperatures were at or just below average, but most nights were relatively mild.  Persistent fog from the evening of the 17th until the morning of the 19th.
