I wonder if the early part of the North Atlantic Hurricane season will get off to a slow start because of the colder than normal warmers across the North Atlantic between 15 and 25° north?
The top chart shows the first reported location of tropical cyclones that went onto make it to a category 4 or 5 hurricane since 1851.
I suppose this might mean than any developments that they are will start further west towards the Caribbean rather than of the coast of Africa.
