To clarify - I mean anomalously high this week rather than precisely 0.4 C higher than nearby (indeed the difference could be as much as 1.1 C unless elsewhere near Faversham has been upgraded).

Yes this heat at Faversham is intriguing. In 2003 a key factor IMO was the conifer hedge to the south of the enclosure. There was a discussion on X involving an excellent local COL observer about this (he thought it surprising to get that temperature last week) and what we don't know is whether the hedge is still there. I'm not suggesting that the reading's invalid though. The reading was first put out on the Met Office's WOW website - not as quick as having all sites automated!
