Clearly got bored after a while and decided to make do with a few extra lines.
IMHO an excess of fronts often equates to a high degree of uncertainty as to their precise position, especially when it comes to convergence zones which move around from run to tun.

Penzance - 3.3mm of rain in the last 24 hours, didn't expect that much. 1st measurable rain since 12h March.

No rain here. Dry as a bone.
Regarding fronts, the chart shows two cold fronts threatening from the north.
A bit OTT and puzzling.
Either way, winter draws back on.
