Minimum of 15.0C last night. I've only ever recorded 3 May nights, in the last 34 years, when the temperature has faied to drop below 15C. Two of them being this year, the other in 2018.
Apart from the fact we are in warm sector air, another factor must be the exceptional SST, currently 2.5 to 3C above normal in the SW approaches and all the way down the Atlantic seaboard.
SST at nearby wave buoys:- 15.1C at Perranporth, 14.8C at both Penzance & Porthleven. Values you'd expect to see in late June.
0.5mm of mizzly rain overnight, bringing the months total to 11.1mm.
