Radio 4 forecasts

Radio 4 forecasts go from bad to worse.  They used to give a range of forecast temperature that was often so large as to be useless.  You could call it a climatological range but now they have given up on numbers entirely.  They temperature forecast for the whole of Britain tonight was "feeling cold".  Just that - "feeling cold".  And of course it's going to be windy, or as they put it, "berlustery", not quite the same thing but such subtleties are either beyond them or frowned upon.  The whole thing was compressed into about one minute whereas ample time was allowed for some excitable fluff-brained media twat to regale us breathlessly with news of upcoming programmes.

     These forecasts are an absolute disgrace in their brevity and sheer skimpiness.  They'd be a disgrace to a down-market pop-music station, let alone Radio 4.  Don't listen to them because if you've got a brain larger than a grapefruit pip you'll be insulted.  No point in making yourself angry.
