Very light winds, and a bit of instability.
Although the temperature wasn't high (maximum of 18.3C in Penzance) the very light winds & prolonged coastal sunshine made for very pleasant swimming conditions.
Health & safety means warning signs on the cliffs, especially in all the places we used to scramble as kids The "Dangerous Cliffs" type warning.
However, at my favourite swimming spot in Penzance (Battery Rocks) I fully approve of the signage. No "beware of" anything (Waves, jellyfish, thermal shock, slippery steps skinny dippers etc. etc.) Just . . .
Photo at 11am just after my swim. There was a seal close in, but it didn't get too close.
