'Icy temperatures are predicted to drop to 10C in Yorkshire as October gets colder.'

My kind of icy temperatures. (Lerwick & Caithness might be a bit nippy) Wait for the Express "October Heat Bomb - London warmer than somewhere else!"

There are indications in the long range for mid-Atlantic ridging to develop late October in response to a developing La Nina, so possibly a cold start to November. It's a long way off, so we shall see.
