Looking at the recent radar it looks fairly impressive over Devon & Cornwall.

Less the 1mm here in Penzance this morning. Showery rain mostly passed to the north, and in any case didn't amount to much until it hit the land.

Sun's breaking through now (12:30). Mousehole, note the road's only damp. Still waiting for heavy rain here, and that's now looking much less likely.

Still, enough rain the last few days to water the garden and, sadly, make the grass grow. (Yes subjective, the nearby farmers with dairy cattle are rather relieved the grass is growing again!).

Note the sea lettuce on the harbour beach, flourishing in the SW Water contamination, Still no need to worry as SW Water cured the problem by declassifying Mousehole as a bathing location.

Most of heavy rain passed to the north of us here.
A few heavy downpours gave 7.6 mm.
Altogether a chilly day for June.
Max 15.4 °C

Just 1.8mm here since 09:00. 4.8mm in the 24 hours to 09:00 today.

Noon - 2pm saw light winds & good sunny spells, pushing the temperature up to 17.6C.  Later afternoon saw a very cool NW wind set in, temperature now (near 20:00) only around 13C.

June maximum temperatures (so far) have ranged from 17.1C on 6th, to 18.6C on 1st. So consistently rather cool, but nothing notable.

Hopefully getting warmer now.
