Precipitation visible to the SW and W for a time late Wednesday afternoon, possibly not reaching the ground, but nothing fell locally.  Cloud Wednesday afternoon moved away E leaving variable amounts of thin cirrus and occasional altocumulus castellanus.  Cloudy at times around sunset, then clearer spells before becoming generally cloudy in the small hours.  Currently there appears to be a standing wave generated by the Long Mynd just to the NW shown by some patchy stratus in a line, with stratocumulus increasing from the NW, and altocumulus above this moving from the S.  Very good visibility overnight, but now decreasing towards the NW.  Surface wind generally SSW-WSW F2 but variable F1-2 2100z-0100z, and F3 for a time 0330z-0500z before moderating F1-2.  Minimum temperature so far is 19.3 (0542z).
