No particularly strong winds, peak at F5 in Penzance, maximum gust just 44mph on the cliff tops near Lands End. Still no heavy rain, 2.8mm to 09:00 today. It is a very wet near horizontal drizzle though.
There is a very big sea running on the north coast, rather exceptional for August.
I'm rather hoping for a return to something settled at the end of the month.
As a follow up for yesterday's post for anybody interested (a weather related incident, though it was the tidal race that tipped things over the edge - probably hadn't allowed for the current extremely large tides.)
