TV forecaster talking about a drier and sunnier Sunday after a wet Saturday.

In many people's books, wet weather is preferable.  A casual survey suggests that cafes do more trade on wet days.  And of course, gardeners and farmers desperately want rain at the moment.

As I have said many times, there is no such thing as GOOD weather.  What is one person's 'good' is another's 'bad'.  I do appreciate that [especially TV] presenters need to 'entertain'.  But I do wish they would stick to simply describing what is expected and not add personal views.

As you point out, whether sunny and dry is good or bad weather depends on your personal view.
But, with our usual variable weather, I think the weather presenter is speaking for the majority if he/she describes a sunny dry day as good weather.
