The swell we have at the moment wouldn't be an issue if the sea level wasn't way above astronomical values on top of an already really big spring tide.

Luckily, yesterday evening big tide coincided with a lull in the wind and the swell. Given the red flood warning for Penzance there had been some concern, especially as the Jubilee Pool was specifically mentioned as somewhere liable to flood and the wording said 'Take Action Now'. However it soon became apparent everything would be OK and the Jubilee Pool Full moon event (copied from Thailand?) went ahead in benign conditions for the end of October. They judged the lull to perfection. Even the moon was out!

Interesting weather at the moment, I'm quite enjoying it. Thursday has the potential to be very interesting.
